16th of January we start the series “New Beginnings” – helping us to start the new year right
Even those most faithful to God occasionally need to pause and think about the direction of their lives. It’s so easy to bump along from one busy week to another without ever stopping to ponder where we’re going and where we should be going. The beginning of a new year is an ideal time to stop, look up, and prayerfully think about how we want to live the year to come – as individuals and as church. What’s the most important way you will, by God’s grace, try to make this year different from last year? What is the most helpful new way you could strengthen your church?
There´s an ongoing theme in the scriptures regarding how God’s mercy and grace allow us to start over, even after great failures and setbacks. In this new series we will explore how God is the God of new beginnings – always ready to help us with a new start and new opportunities.
Oslo-missionary Maicon Silva Steuernagel from Brazil, who works with OIC, will preach this Sunday.
Upcoming Events:
23rd of January – “New Beginnings” – a vision for the future
We will continue our series – and Kasper Tangen, who studies theology and leadership and interns at OIC, will speak about the importance of vision. He is leading the vision-process for OIC, and will open for input from all of you about where our church should be going.
