🧇 The cafe is open from 11-12 and from after the service to 14h. Unlike our usual services, there is a cost to purchase waffles and coffee in the cafe.
How to get to Østmarkskapellet?
🥾 You can hike from Skullerud T-bane and follow the map. After about 3km you will see a sign for Østmarkskapellet to the right. Total distance is ca. 3,7km. Sturdy footwear is recommended if you take this route.
🚗 If you plan to drive, you can park at Grønmo Utfartsparkering and walk along the gravel road to Østmarkskapellet, ca. 2,3km.
🚲 If you plan to bike, we suggest starting from Skullerud t-bane stasjon and bike to Plantasjen. From there, follow the gravel road to Grønmo Utfartsparkering, and then take the bike route to Østmarkskapellet. Here is the map.
What is Østmarkskapellet?
Østmarkskapellet translates to “East Forest Chapel.” It is an idyllic forest chapel beautifully situated on the hill by Rundvann in Østmarka. The chapel is a foundation and is run by committed volunteers. Every Sunday at 12:00 a sports service is held by various pastors, and the café offers light refreshments before and after the service.
